Objectives

  1. Introducing the relevance of the international human rights norms to Indonesian audiences, especially its mechanisms;
  2. Bridging the gap between academicians and practitioners, who rarely consider the advantages of the international law;
  3. By practicing rather than preaching, we are proving that the international law is not only valuable to Westerners but also in the low-income people who live in global south as well;
  4. To concretely detail the problems with Indonesian practices on migration and propose solutions based on the perspective of human rights;
  5. Furthering the acceptance of the universality of human rights norms in Indonesian audiences;
  6. Educating Indonesian officials and others on the best practices in the human rights-based management of migration and efficient administration of justice as adopted by international fora; and
  7. Familiarizing and escalating the Indonesian sense of humanity as part of the larger global human family.
